Printmaking
This piece honors my mother. She is a woman whose strength, dignity, and cultural pride shaped not only my life, but the lives of all who know her. In this serigraphy print, she appears in her traditional royalty outfit. Embodying generations of resilience and beauty. Her image stretches into the background, becoming part of the land itself. A reminder that her spirit is not only carried within her, but woven into the earth, the animals, the skies, and the memory of my family. By layering her presence, I wanted to show how identity is more than appearance. It is memory, bloodline, and spirit resting within the world around us. This work is a reflection on lineage, love, and the quiet, powerful spaces where our ancestors live on. It is where her spirit rests and where mine begins.
